“We’re sorry, but we can no longer support Facebook Messenger for Windows, and it will stop working on March 3, 2014,” said a message appearing on the top of this application.

“We really appreciate you using Messenger to reach your friends, and we want to make sure you know that you can keep chatting and view all your messages on http://www.facebook.com. Learn more,” it added.

Facebook has mentioned that its messenger facility is only available now for Android and iOS. Windows was nowhere mentioned on the official notification.

Now the Windows users are left with no option but to chat through official Facebook website.

Microsoft vice-president Joe Belfiore has recently made an announcement that Facebook Messenger will be making its way to the platform sometime in the next few weeks.
