Kanpur: Police on Monday claimed to have busted a fake health card racket and arrested three college students in connection with the case.

Ashu, Vivek and Ravi along with their other accomplices were allegedly running a fake health card camp near Shivala temple where they were issuing health cards to an entire family for Rs 40, promising free treatment, police said.

The three accused were arrested yesterday after the matter came to light following a complaint filed by Vimlesh, a resident of the Bengali Mohalla.

City Magistrate Avinash Singh has ordered an inquiry into the matter and police too have initiated their investigation. Police are now on a look out for others involved in the racket.
