Faridabad: The results for IIT-JEE, the joint entrance examination for the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, were declared on Friday in which Arpit Agarwal, a student of Faridabad's Modern Vidya Niketan School managed to get the top position.

But even before Arpit’s glorious success saga, the city has a glorious history of producing many brilliant minds who topped in various prestigious All India Examinations.

Earlier, In 2006 Mona Puruthi secured the first position in Indian Administrative Services (IAS) examinations and later she became the role model for many local students preparing for the IAS examinations.

Nitin Jain, a student of Faridabad's Modern Vidya Niketan School in 2009 also topped IIT-JEE Examination. In the same year, Tanvi Aggarwal also secured 98.4 percent marks in commerce subject and ranked No. 1 on All India level in CBSE.

Last year, Vinay Pratap Singh Tomar also proved his capabilities and got 14th rank in Indian Administrative Services (IAS) exams.
