Greater Noida: The much awaited judgement on the illegal acquisition of land in Noida Extension will be made on October 21.

Making villagers, builders, investors and development authority jittery on the final decision, the High Court will pass its verdict on Greater Noida along with Noida villages before Dewali.

Following the acquisition of land in Noida Extension and Greater Noida, farmers of 40 villagers had filed 491 petitions in the Allahabad High Court. After regular hearing from September 12, the Court completed the hearing of the case September 30.

Lawyer from villagers’ side, Mukesh Rawal informed that the Court will declare its verdict on October 21.

Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh government has initiated its effort to make Greater Noida Development Authority (GNIDA) overcome the financial crises. The government has asked for a detailed report on the development projects and current financial condition of the development authority.

It was also learnt that within a week new circle rate will be implemented for land in Noida and Greater Noida. According to the sources, hike of 20-25 percent in property rates is likely to be witnessed.
