Faridabad: Speeding up drive against the selling of adulterated food items in Haryana, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) officials on Tuesday raided major markets in Faridabad and collected samples of various food items including salt, tea leaves, ghee, paneer and others.  

A team of FDA officials headed by Food Safety Officer DK Sharma carried out raids at NIT, Old Faridabad and Ballabgarh markets and took ten food samples for investigation at Chandigarh.

“We have collected samples of various food items used on daily basis and will send them to Chandigarh on Wednesday,” Sharma said adding, “Appropriate actions will be taken against the venders once the reports arrive.”
