"Camera Along the Brahmaputra – Celebrating 80 Years of Assamese Cinema" will screen eight films from April 13-14 and 16-18.
    
Organised by the India International Centre Film Club in collaboration with Assam Association, Delhi, the festival is curated by filmmaker-critic Utpal Borpujari.
    
The opening day will see the screening of "Chameli Memsaab", starring now censor board member George Baker.
    
Directed by Abdul Majid, the film won the National Awards for best music (Bhupen Hazarika) and the best regional movie in Assamese in 1976.
    

The other films to be screened at the festival are "Dwaar – The Voyage Out" by Bidyut Chakravarty; "Raag – The Rhythm of Love" by Rajni Basumatary, and "Ekhon Nedekha Nodir Xhipare" by Bidyut Kotoky.
