Bhopal: Renowned filmmaker of Bollywood Prakash Jha who is shooting for the film ‘Chakravyuh’ at the Pachmarhi hill station, has once again found himself in a thick of controversy after Madhya Pradesh Congress leader Manak Agarwal lambasted him by saying that state government had given him permission only for the shooting of the film and not chopping pine trees.

Madhya Pradesh Congress leader Manak Agarwal in a statement said, ‘State government had given him the permission to shoot his film and not to chop trees.’ He claimed that Jha’s unit chopped nearly a dozen 25-30 feet long pine trees at lover point near Pachmarhi Lake.

Hitting out at the government, Agarwal said that district administration has not taken cognizance of the matter and thereby no action has been taken under the Cantonment Act so far.
