Shahbad: Yesteryears’ Superstar, Dream Girl Hema Malini spoke from her heart on the lack of meaningful cinema being churned out of Bollywood.

Attending a religious function with daughter Esha Deol in Mohri Village on Sunday, she called on the filmmakers to make films that make people aware about the issues being faced by the country.

While comparing modern era films with that of old ones, she said that old films were meant reflected the social truths but things are totally different today.

Talking exclusively to Dainik Jagran, she said, “the era of old film was a quite different from today's.There There was more stress on the characters and writers and they had to give their maximum. In that period, film making was more time consuming than these days where films get ready for release in a little time because of technical advancement.”

Conforming with her ,other's views Esha Deol said that films should be made to uproot the evils cropping up in our society.


The mother-daughter duo said that people of Shahbad are fortunate enough to hear words from Swami Shree Braham Kumar Ji who is in the village for holy preaching.
