New Delhi: A massive fire broke out on Wednesday at a building in Mumbai, police said. However, everyone was evacuated safely.

The fire engulfed a building near Income Tax Office at Ballard estate in South Mumbai, informed the police officials. Five fire tenders rushed to the spot, added the officials.

“The exact cause will be investigated separately, however short circuit could be a potent reason for the blaze as monsoon rains percolated around. The fire is now almost under control. People have been evacuated. The cooling operations will take six to eight hours,” MV Deshmukh, Director of the Maharashtra Fire Services, is said to have reported.
