No injuries have been reported so far.  At least five fire tenders have been rushed to the campus to douse the fire and the blaze is now under control, they said.

The fire broke out at a hostel of IIT-Delhi campus.

Fire department officials said that they received a call at 11.25 AM stating that a fire had broken out in a high-rise building on the campus of the premier Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi (IIT-D).

People in the vicinity of the campus said they heard the sound of a cylinder blast. However, fire department officials said they are yet to ascertain the cause of the blaze. More details in this regard are awaited.
