Howrah: A fire broke out in a garment manufacturing factory in the Foreshore Road in Howrah district on Friday, Fire Brigade sources said.

The fire broke out in the garment manufacturing factory at around 7 pm, the sources said.

Seventeen fire tenders have rushed to the spot to control the blaze the, they said adding there was no report of any casualty or injury.

Fire Services Minister Javed Khan have also rushed to the spot to supervise the fire fighting operation.

The cause of the fire was not yet know, they added.

Earlier in the day, a broke out in a market complex at Pakka Bazar in Bantra area of Howrah district at around 1 pm.

Twelve fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse the blaze noticed at about one pm in the three-storied market complex.
