Beijing: The casualty in last week's massive fire at a poultry processing plant in China's Jilin Province rose to 121 on Sunday after one of the victim, a woman died at a hospital, a news agency reported.

Xu Chunfeng, 43, died in a hospital in the provincial capital city of Changchun. As of Sunday, 26 of the 77 injured people had been discharged from hospitals.

The fire had broken out at Jilin Baoyuanfeng Poultry Company in Dehui City on last Monday. Over 300 workers were present in the plant when the incident took place, survivors said.

About 100 workers managed to escape from the plant, the gate of which was locked when the fire broke out, they added.

Established in September 2009, Jilin Baoyuanfeng Poultry Company has 1,200 employees and an annual output of 67,000 tonnes of chicken products.
