The actress took to micro-blogging site Twitter to unveil her first look. In the film, Anushka essays the role of Rosie Noronha a jazz singer and the love interest of Johnny Balraj, a boxer, played by Ranbir Kapoor.

Anushka posted the picture on Twitter with a caption, "Guys introducing Rosie Noronha of #BombayVelvet @foxstarhindi @FuhSePhantom". She essays the character of Rosie, who is a jazz singer.

Earlier, the actress also shared the first look of Ranbir Kapoor in the film. While unveiling the poster, Anushka Sharma wrote, "Welcome Johnny Balraj! Our first poster #BombayVelvet @foxstarhindi @FuhSePhantom".

'Bombay Velvet' is adapted from historian Gyan Prakash's book 'Mumbai Fables'. Set in Bombay of the 1960s, the film tells the story of a boxer, Johnny Balraj, and an aspiring jazz singer, Rosie. Karan Johar, is rumoured to be playing a negative role in the film.

'Bombay Velvet' is slated to release on May 15.
