Lucknow: Five passers-by were buried alive when an old wall of a house collapsed in Uttar Pradesh's Bhadohi town, the police said on Thursday. The incident took place on Wednesday in Nehrunagar area of Bhadohi, about 280 km from Lucknow.

Inspector General of Police (Law and Order) R.K. Vishwakarma told that the wall was very old. By the time the police arrived and pulled out the victims trapped under the debris of the dilapidated wall, three had already passed away.

Two others died on the way to hospital, the police said. The dead include three women and two girls. They have been identified as Savitri, Isravati, Babita, Nikita and Sargam.
