'Deewaar' made in 1975, was a Indian crime drama directed by the legendary Yash Chopra. The movie was written by  Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar.
The storyline reflected the confused politics of the early 70s in India where two innocent brothers who, after their family are betrayed by the misplaced idealism of their father are forced to struggle in the challenging streets of Mumbai.

'Deewaar' went superhit at the box office by ranking the 4th highest grossing Bollywood film. It was successful in grabbing the Filmfare Best Movie Award of 1975 followed by six other Filmfare Awards.
