1. International Space Station Toilet: Astronauts too need toilets when in space. The most expensive toilet is in space with a total net worth of USD 19 million. Built by Russia in 2008, it was made for the International Space Station. The toilet features leg braces to help keep astronauts properly positioned and is specially designed to work in weightless atmosphere.

2. The Hang Fung Gold Toilet: Inspired by the famous quote of Vladimir Lenin, 'turn every bit of it into public restrooms', jeweller Lam Sai-wing built a luxurious toilet made out of 24 carat gold. The USD 5 million toilet is operational but has never been used. The Hang Fung Gold Technology group built this in the year 2001.

3. Moon River Art Park Toilet: The most eco friendly toilet ever made, Moon River Art Park Toilet near Shanghai, China is built inside a man-made cave. It took a group of sculptors over a year to complete this marvel. This grotto inspired outdoor bathrom is a part of the largest collections of outdoor sculptures in Asia and is open to public for use.

4. Swarovski-Studded Toilet: This bidazzled toilet is fully encrusted with Swarovski crystals and completes its objective of a luxury bathroom. This USD 75,000 toilet is a part of the Isis collection which includes highly original bathroom pieces made of Swarovski crystals.

5. “Dagobert” Wooden Toilet Throne by Herbeau: The five foot tall toilet, named after King Dagobert, the last ruler of the Merovingian dynasty looks more like a throne. This majestic toilet features pull chain flush with bell and a full set of accessories including candle holder and ashtray. This magnificent toilet costs USD 14,123.
