Palamu: Jharkhand Police on Thursday arrested five hard-core activists of ultra outfit People’s Liberation Front of India (PLFI) including a sub-zonal commander from Baraj village of Palamu district.

Police has recovered three country-made pistols, four live cartridges and a motorcycle from their possession.

The arrests were made when the ultras arrived in the village to collect levy from contractors. A team of police led by ASP Manoj Ratan, police cordoned the area and nabbed the ultras.

The arrested ultras have been identified as Sub-zonal commander Ashok Yadav, Sanjiv Yadav, Kamlesh Singh, Akhilesh Yadav and Neeraj Singh.
