Allahabad: Here’s a good piece of news for lakhs of devotees who till now have to shun their ideas of living in Kalpwas (staying at the banks of Sangam for an entire month to perform spiritual practices) because of the problems they have to face.

Now, the devotees will not have to live in exile and to spend their nights on haycock. They can perform all the rituals during the month of Magh (a month of Hindi calendar) with all comforts.

World’s biggest spiritual fair, Kumbh Mela, is attracting millions of people from nation and abroad. Keeping this in mind, the best facilities are being provided for the Kalpwas. The devotees will be provided with 5-star facilities on the wharfs of the holy river Ganga, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati (commonly known as Sangam).

In order to provide better facilities, many townships like Kumb Kutir (cottage), Kumbh Nagar, Kumbh City are being developed for the devotees. A Varanasi based company is developing 150 cottages in the name of Kumbh cottage only 500 meters away from the banks of Sangam. This includes dormitory, deluxe, Sangam view luxury and fort view.

The people staying in these cottages will be given facilities like, television, broadband connection, spa, devotional chant, ayurvedic massage, meditation, yoga and many more.

A watchtower has also been made for Sangam view. From the top of the tower, one can easily view the banks of Sangam by using binoculars. You will have to cough up anything between Rs 10,000- Rs 15,000 to avail this facility.

Many real estate companies are making a bee line in getting plots to develop such cottages. For this purpose, the companies have taken nearly 70 Bighas of land to develop townships. The rent of this cottage is about Rs 35, 00 to Rs 45, 00 a day.
