New Delhi (JPN/ Bureau): 1983 World Cup winning skipper Kapil Dev believes that ICC president, Sharad Pawar, should focus more on keeping onion prices in control than concentrating on the ICC.

Speaking on ‘Impact of games on life’ in a seminar held at FICCI Auditorium on Monday, Kapil questioned that how much cricket Pawar has played and on what basis he is holding ICC presidency.

“On what basis is ICC President Sharad Pawar heading world’s largest cricket body? He has not played much cricket. He should leave the chair of ICC and focus on reducing the prices of onions. He should concentrate on setting up storages in the country.”

Kapil said that only a player should be appointed for such a vital position for bettering the game. He added, “If we have to improve our game, people must change their mindset.”

The former captain of the Indian hockey team Jagbir Singh was also present at the occasion.
