New Delhi: The Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday asked party candidates in the UP Assembly Elections to forget the social engineering and politicking in the state and stay focused on the bad governance given by Mayawati led BSP and Mulayam led Samajwadi Party in the state. He sent a clear message to the contestants for augmented attack on the poor performance by both BSP and SP in the state.

Cheering the Congress contestants, the party’s star campaigners also asked to go for scathing attack on both Maya and Mulayam to steer the anger of the voters in the state in favour of Congress to gain power.

Sources further said that the young leader held extensive meetings on regular occasion with the ministers, leaders and campaigners of the party and had restructured a roadmap for the future election campaigns in the politically crucial Uttar Pradesh.

Amidst the growing corruption in Mayawati led government and poor performance of the previous Mulayam led government in the state, Congress leader is hoping for better electoral prospects in Uttar Pradesh in the ensuing elections, sources claimed.

Sources also said that Rahul’s new mantra for the party workers takes a cue from the victory of BSP over SP in the previous assembly elections.
