The event will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar, Guest of Honor and Tourism minister Dilip Parulekar in the presence of Nilesh Cabral, Chairman, GTDC, Panaji MLA Siddharth Kunkolienkar, Mayor Shubham Chodankar, Principal Secretary (Tourism) R K Srivastava and Director of Tourism Ameya Abhyankar.

The festival, which was revived three years ago, has been drawing lakhs of tourists to the state who travel from far and wide to savour Goan platter and experience its cultural heritage.

This year too the festival will present a variety of Goan authentic cuisine in vegetarian and non-vegetarian segments, sweets and other delicacies with more than 70 stalls. The event attracts food lovers from all over the world who want to try Goan delights beyond the staple fish curry and

During the five-day extravaganza, there will be 'live' performances to keep the audience enthralled. These live acts will feature a mix of local talent as well as some popular national names like Indus Creed and Parikrama.  The event will also host firework display, DJ Music, Spot prizes and much more.Around 50,000 visitors are expected at the festival which concludes on April 21. Entry to the programme will be free.
