He is the third AAP leader to join the saffron party in the last 15 days. Slamming former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, Chauhan said that he "betrayed" dalits by not fulfilling his promises made in the last Assembly polls.

"Valmiki Samaj had supported him in the last Assembly elections, but what he did was betrayal to them after coming to power. Not only dalits, they (AAP) also betrayed every section of the society," Chauhan said here.

The former AAP MLA, who defeated prominent Congress leader Chaudhary Prem Singh from Ambedkar Nagar, also accused Kejriwal of being "dictatorial" in his party.
"Only few leaders are running Aam Aadmi party and there was is democracy there. They don't listen to workers," he added.
On joining the Bharatiya Janata Party, Chauhan said that he was inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi following which he decided to join BJP.
Last month, former AAP MLA and Delhi Assembly speaker M S Dhir had also joined the saffron party. Meanwhile, one Rahul Rajpal, who claimed to be an office bearer of Delhi Congress, today joined BJP.

Delhi BJP incharge Prabhat Jha said that party is in touch with several persons who want to join the party. "We welcome any person who want to join BJP without preconditions," Jha said.
Meanwhile, on reports that BJP has cancelled party MPs rallies in the national capital due to controversial remarks by Union Minister Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, party state chief Satish Upadhyay said, "We didn't make a schedule of any MP rally in the weekend as most party MPs are in their constituencies.
