The senior Congress leader, who was suffering from liver ailment, was admitted to the NIMS on April 26 after his health deteriorated.

The 80-year-old veteran is survived by his wife and four sons.

According to hospital sources, Reddy’s body has been shifted to his house in Somajiguda.

Reddy served as the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister from 1990 to 1992.

Known for his political acumen, he was elected to the Lok Sabha thrice from Bapatla, Narsaraopet and Visakhapatnam.

He also held the post of president of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC).
