New Delhi: Former Army chief Gen VK Singh met veteran social activist Anna Hazare at Ralegan Siddhi, the native village of the anti-graft crusader, and held a closed-door meeting.

According to the sources, VK Singh and Anna Hazare discussed the preparations of the scheduled January 30 rally in Patna. It is believed that the rally will mark the kick-start of Gen Singh’s India tour plan with Anna.

Notably, the local administration had denied VK Singh permission to hold rally at Gandhi Madan in Patna but Hazare said that Singh assured him to get permission to hold the scheduled rally at the venue.

“Singh sahab assured me he will make sure to get the venue for rally at Gandhi Maidan. Singh said that he will take the responsibility,” Hazare said.

Recently, the Ministry of Home Affairs in a review meeting withdrew all security cover provided to VK Singh saying he does not require any protection. The former Army Chief was provided Z 'Plus' security cover till November 30.
