Arvind Kejriwal: Aam Adami Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal is contesting Lok Sabha elections against BJP prime ministerial candidate from Varanasi. Significantly, he has served as Delhi Chief Minister for 49 days from December 28, 2013 to February 14, 2014.

B S Yeddyurappa: He is contesting elections from Shimoga Lok Sabha constituency of Karnataka. Yeddyurappa set a record by becoming first BJP Chief Minister in Karnataka from May 30, 2008 to July 31, 2011.

D V Sadananda Gowda: He is contesting the Lok Sabha polls from Bangalore North as a BJP candidate. Gowda served as Karnataka Chief Minister from August 4, 2011 to July 12, 2012.

N Dharam Singh: N Dharam Singh is a Congress candidate from Bidar Lok Sabha constituency of Karnataka. He served as Karnataka Chief Minister from May 28, 2004 to February 3, 2006.

Veerappa Moily: Senior Congress leader Moily is trying his luck from Chikballapur LS constituency. He has also served as Karnataka Chief Minister from November 19, 1992 to December 11, 1994.

HD Deve Gowda: Former Prime Minister Deve Gowda is contesting elections from his traditional Hasan Lok Sabha seat. He has also served as Karnataka Chief Minister from December 11, 1994 to May 31, 1996.

HD Kumaraswamy: Son of Deve Gowda, HD Kumaraswamy is pitted against Moily from Chikballapur LS constituency. He was the Karnataka Chief Minister (February 3, 2006 to October 9, 2007).

BC Khanduri: Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister BC Khanduri is contesting LS elections from Garwhal in the state. He served as state Chief Minister twice.

Bhagat Singh Koshiyari: He is fighting the general elections from Nainital- Udhamsingh Nagar Lok Sabha constituency. Koshiyari served as Uttarakhand Chief Minister from October 29, 2001 to March, 2002.

Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank: BJP candidate from Haridwar, Nishank was the Uttarakhand Chief Minister (June 27, 2009 to September 11, 2011).

Shanta Kumar: BJP nominee from Kangra LS seat of Himachal Pradesh. He was the chief minister of the state from 1990 to 92.

Sibu Soren: He is contesting from Dumka Lok Sabha constituency in Jharkhand. Sibu Soren has served as Chief Minister thrice.

Babulal Marandi: He is contesting the general elections from Dumka of Jharkhand on Vikas Morcha Prajatantrik ticket. He was appointed as the first Chief Minister of the state after formation of separate Jharkhand state.

Hemanand Biswal: He is contesting the general elections from Sundergarh Lok Sabha constituency of Odisha on Congress ticket. He has served as Chief Minister of Odisha twice from 1989 to 90 and from 1999 to 2000.

Giridhar Gamang: He is a Congress candidate from Korapur Lok Sabha constituency of Odisha. He has served as Chief Minister of the state from February 17, 1999 to December 6, 1999.

PA Sangama: Former Meghalaya Chief Minister is contesting from Pura Lok Sabha constituency on National Peoples Party ticket.

Shankar Singh Vaghela: He is a Congress candidate from Sabarkantha Lok Sabha constituency of Gujarat. He has served as Chief Minister of Gujarat from 1996 to 97.

Ajit Jogi: Senior Congress leader, Ajit Jogi is contesting elections from Mahasamund Lok Sabha constituency of Chhattisgarh. He was the first Chief Minister of the state from 2000 to 2003.
