At a press conference to release the manifesto of his party, Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik), for the 2014 general elections, Marandi said he had also shared how views with the Lok Sabha Committee set up to study the Bill proposal.

He argued that the bill could be of benefit in cities like Noida, Gurgaon, Hyderabad and Bangalore, but not in tribal areas.
