Ranchi: Former Jharkhand minister Kamlesh Singh, who was arrested in a disproportionate assets case in 2009, was today granted bail by the Jharkhand High Court.

A single bench of Justice H C Mishra granted the bail.

Singh, who was in all the governments between 2005 and 2008, was arrested on November 30, 2009 by Vigilance from Hussainabad in Palamau district.

Singh had held water resources, public distribution and excise departments in different governments between 2005 and 2008 and was the only legislator to get berths in every government during the period.
