New Delhi: Dismissing reports that Anuradha Chowdhury’s induction in Samajwadi Party will prove fatal for Rashtriya Lok Dal, RLD chief Ajit Singh said, several leaders change their party when elections are round the corner and Anuradha’s decision to quit RLD will not affect us at any level.

According to party sources, the former close aide of the RLD chief was sulking and unhappy with Singh from past one year. Sources added that the main reason behind her decision was RLD’s recent alliance with the Congress for the upcoming Assembly polls in the state.

Meanwhile, there are also reports that she had also opposed Ajit Singh’s decision to gift Shamli and Kairana seat to the Congress.

“There is no system in the party to discuss anything before taking a decision,” she said.

Sources further claimed that Anuradha was being sidelined in the party with the rise of Jayant Chaudhary (Ajit Singh’s son) after 2009 Lok Sabha election. He was elected from Mathura.

Earlier, Anuradha had served as Minister of Irrigation and Public Works in RLD-SP government in the state.
