Thirty-five-year-old Budhu Murmu and his brother Shom Murmu (32) were arrested on Thursday at a village under Shikaripara police station on charges that they had dug up and planted landmine exploded by the Maoists, Deputy Superintendent of Police AK Srivastav said.

Their sister Tala Kuri was arrested along with Baburam Baski (35) on Monday on charges of harbouring the left-wing rebels, Srivastav added.

Meanwhile, Jharkhand police chief Rajeev Kumar reportedly recommended suspension of Dumka SP Nirmal Kumar Mishra on charges of negligence.

The violence marred the third and final phase polling in Jharkhand.
