Chandigarh: A case of fraud has been registered against owner of a Faridabad-based shoe selling unit for allegedly using the label of prominent brand 'Adidas' illegally, police said.

The action was taken on a complaint by Govind Yadav, a distributor of 'Adidas' shoes in Gurgaon.

Yadav alleged Sunil, owner of 'Shanvi creation', had been selling shoes by pasting 'Adidas' label on them.

Police have registered a case against Sunil under Indian Penal Code and Trademark Act.
