Davos, Jan 27 (Agencies): Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, addressing the world economic leaders in Davos, Switzerland said the new generation of politicians that came after the Cold War period to jointly build a free world devoid of double standards.

"Our task is to use all possibilities to create a new world, which the overwhelming majority of citizens will see as just," Medvedev said at the World Economic Forum.

"The world where billions of people could communicate directly. The world where the people are not afraid of the authorities, while international relations are devoid of double standards and hypocrisy. Where it would be more efficient, easier and better to work together," the President stressed.

He believes this is a real task, all the more because politicians who matured already after the Cold War have come to power.

"All this must make us move towards a much higher level of transparency and coordination of our activity. I believe that positive changes in relations between Russia and the USA are a good example of new principles and approaches in international policy," he said, mentioning the ratification of the START-3 treaty by the Russian Parliament.
