London (Agencies): Beauty has the French connection. Or so goes with the French actress Isbelle Adjani known for her roles in 'Queen Margot' and 'Possession' and another French actress Brigitte Bardot, who starred in Jean-Luc Godard's 1963 cult film 'Contempt' have clinched the top and second spots respectively, in Los Angeles Times Magazine's poll of 50 most beautiful women in film.

Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry and Spanish actress Penelope Cruz too feature on the list. American actress and former model Kim Basinger has landed on third spot, Monica Bellucci is on fourth, followed by Berry on number five, thanks to her role as a Bond girl in 'Die Another Day', reports contactmusic.com.

Cruz is on 11th place and Jennifer Connelly and Anne Hathaway too make it to the top 20. Angelina Jolie was spotted on 23rd position.

'Gossip Girl' actress Blake Lively was the youngest star on 30th position, while Oscar-nominated 'Black Swan' star Natalie Portman stood at 39th position, and 'Slumdog Millionaire' beauty Freida Pinto at 38th position.

Hollywood's pretty woman Julia Roberts is at 40th position.
