According to study, the roof of the portico is also decaying. The alarming report has highlighted many concerns for conserving the centuries old temple which had successfully survived boisterous cloudburst in 2013.

After experts raised frequent concerns over preservation of the temple, Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) started building 90 square meter waterproof floor to protect the decaying foundation. Also, ASI plans to renovate 500 square meter of floor.
