New Delhi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda has sanctioned Rs 121.09 crore for distribution of rice among family under the Antyaoday Yojna. Around 9.18 lakh families will get benefit from the scheme.

All the families coming under the Antyoday Yojna will get 35 kg of rice per month at the rate of Re 1 per kg in the current fiscal (2012-13).

The state government also sanctioned around Rs 1844.37 crore for supply and distribution of 15 kg of subsidized food grains among families above poverty line (APL) in the current fiscal.  Around 19.62 lakh APL families across the state will benefit from the scheme.

Under the APL scheme each family will get 7.5 kg of rice and wheat.

Munda also approved Rs 60.47 crore for police modernization and arouns Rs 3.58 crore for jails.
