New Delhi: Future Group's Human Resources head Sanjay Jog has quit the company to join Reliance Retail from this month.

According to people in the know of the development, Jog will take charge of the human resource division for Mukesh Ambani led Reliance Retail that currently operates over 1,300 stores across India.

Future Group spokesperson confirmed that Jog quit the group on May 31. However, Reliance Retail spokesperson did not offer any comment.

Based in Mumbai, Jog spent seven years with the Kishore Biyani's Future Group as its Chief People Officer.

Prior to that, he was the Chief Operating Officer International at HMV Saregama India Ltd. Jog did not respond to the queries sent to him.

At the Annual General Meeting of Reliance Industries Ltd earlier this month, Mukesh Ambani told the company's shareholders that the group's retail venture was aiming to grow its revenue 5-6 times and achieve sales of Rs 40,000-50,000 crore in the next three to four years.

He said that Reliance Retail had provided new employment for 50,000 people, including 25,000 people directly by Reliance.
