Fazilka: Terming the UPA-led Congress government as the most corrupt government, BJP president Nitin Gadkari flayed UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for rampant corruption in the system.

Addressing a thanksgiving rally here on Thursday Gadkari said, “Sonia and the PM are patronizing graft as even after the CAG report, no action is being taken against Sheila Dikshit.”

Highlighting the transparency adopted by his party, Gadkari said, “After the Lokayukt report on illegal mining in Karnataka, the BJP took tough stand by axing BS Yeddyurappa from his post. But the Congress has not taken bold step against Sheila Dikshit who is faulted by the CAG in organizing CWG.”

Known for his acerbic gibe, Gadkari likened Congress stance on corruption with Pakistan’s tall claims on fighting terrorism. He also flayed the Centre for the present condition of the farmers in the country.

Referring to the recently concluded bilateral Foreign Secretary talks between India and Pakistan, the president of the saffron party said, “Until Pakistan stops sending terror elements to India, there is no meaning to hold such talks.”
