Dehradun: Launching a scathing attack on Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her party, BJP national president Nitish Gadkari said that the party has one owner and rest are like domestic helpers.

“The Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should go on a pilgrimage if he was helpless in checking corruption”, he said at the convention of party workers on Sunday.

Claiming the BJP as a democratic Party, Gadkari hit out at the Congress by calling it as ‘mother – son’ party.

Referring to 2G scam, he alleged that wrong economic policies, bad and corrupt governance of the Congress-led UPA government were reasons behind rising hunger and poverty.

He said former Telecom minister A Raja had repeatedly affirmed he was not alone in the 2G spectrum scam and there were others from the Congress who were involved in the wrongdoings.

Slamming the PM, he said, “If Manmohan Singh is so helpless then he must take rest or go to Badrinath and Kedarnath or to the Golden Temple.”
