During April 11-19 Hawke's Bay Cup, where eight teams will be vying for the title, India have been placed in Pool A along side China, the United States and Australia.

India will play their first match against China on the opening day before taking on the US on April 12, followed by Australia on April 14.

"While we will use our clash against them to analyse our weaknesses, we will even take the matches to understand how do their players fare when put under pressure and areas where we outwitted them through our skillful play. I think it will be a two way opportunity for the teams as the upcoming tournament in June is important for every participating team," said Ritu.

India have been placed in Group B with Australia, New Zealand, Belgium and Poland in the World League Semi-Finals.

The Indian skipper aims to play to their strength in this competition and prepare well for the tournament in June.

"The team is in good shape and we are excited for the tournament ahead. While we will keep it simple, play to our strengths, but I think attack will be the key.

"With Rani and Poonam Rani's experience and speed, I am sure we will give a tough time to the opponents defence. Anuradha Thockchom will also add the required boost to our attack," she said.
