New Delhi: World’s richest man Bill Gates is enchanted with the development of Bihar. Gates who usually makes visits to different cities of India has said that apart from participating in the awareness programme of AIDS, he will concentrate on Bihar only.

In an exclusive interview to Dainik Jagran, Bill expressed his disinterest in the National Health Programmes in India, but showed his willingness to contribute to the development of the health sector in Bihar.

In a meeting with Gulab Nabi Azad, Gates and wife Melinda have advocated for the long-awaited Pentavalent vaccine. When asked about financial assistance in the next phase of National AIDS Control Programme, Bill quips that already several crores of assistance has been provided from ‘Bill and Melinda Foundation’ and further assistance will come through NACCO.

He, however, had all words of praise for Bihar, saying “My cooperative organization and the state government are collectively working for the state through which we can set an example for the world. We have also started many practical programmes that would help the local people.

Bill made his maiden visit to Bihar in 2010 and he once again paid a visit to Bihar this year. Taking a keen interest in the farming sector of Bihar, he said that a lot can be done in this sector here.
