Ghaziabad: In order to ease the traffic congestion on NH-58, Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) will construct several bridges and underpasses, said the authority officials.

In an Infrastructure Development Fund meeting headed by Vice-chairman of GDA, Santosh Kumar Yadav on Wednesday, approval has been given to the development projects worth Rs 219 crore. Various developmental schemes have been devised for Ghaziabad in this meeting said Yadav.

To ensure smooth flow of traffic on NH-58, the GDA has decided to construct a two-lane bridge along Hindon River. The cost of the project has been estimated at Rs 30 crores. This bridge will directly be linked to Hindon’s Pusta road.

Apart from this, a new underpass will be constructed under Railway Bridge at an estimated cost of Rs 11 crores. Road on NH-24 in Ghaziabad from Chijarsi village to Hindon Barrage colony will be widened to ease congestion at this stretch.
