Bhopal: In a bid to inculcate moral values, the Madhya Pradesh government has decided to include ‘Geeta Sar’ in the school curriculum. The decision was taken after Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan held a review meeting of the education system in the state.

Expressing the significance of knowing the lifestyle of legends, Shivraj said that schoolchildren should know about Tantya Bhil, Nayak Shankar Shah and Raghunath Shah.

Highlighting the inclusion of such literature in school curriculum, the Chief Minister said it would boost the feeling of ‘Apna Madhya Pradesh’ among children.

He added that the agriculture related courses should also be part of the curriculum. “Lack of resources should not be a bottleneck for the school-children,” the Chief Minister said.

In order to overcome the delay in construction of school buildings, the chief minister also suggested trial of folding schools that are already being used in other states.

It was also decided during the meeting that ‘Mogli Festival’ would be held on May 14.
