Jaipur: On a day when the Supreme Court upheld the government decision on his age issue, Army Chief General V K Singh arrived on an official visit to the South-Western command based here.

An aircraft carrying Singh landed at Sanganer airport this evening, defence spokesperson S D Goswami said.

Singh will interact with Army officials during the visit and will leave for Delhi on Saturday, he added.

From Sanganer airport, they left for the command headquarters in helicopter.

Singh is accompanied by his wife Bharti Singh, the President of Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA).

She will visit vocational training centers in the command area and interact with the members of the association, he said.
