The road-show began February 5 in Chennai and covered cities like Mumbai and Bangalore. It brought together over 2,500 travel trade representatives who along with GNTO discussed the bestselling practices for destination Germany.

"With the help of these road-shows, we have projected Germany as the hottest tourist destination in Europe and will definitely attract India travelers," said GNTO director (sales and marketing) Romit Theophilus.

He said that Germany has retained its position as the second most visited destination by Indians in Europe after the United Kingdom. According to Theophilus, over 2.3 lakh Indian travelers visited the country between January and May 2013.
