The smartphone sports a 4-inch WVGA IPS display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.

The handset runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box skinned with Amigo 3.0 UI. The dual-SIM device offers 16GB of internal storage which can be  expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.

P2M packs 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter. On the connectivity front, the device supports 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth.

The smartphone gets its juice from a 3000mAh battery and measures 124x62.5x10.9mm. P2M will be available in Black, Golden, and White colours.

Gionee will invest USD 50 million in India over the next three years to set up a manufacturing facility. The company is in talks with a few contract manufacturers for the facility but did not divulge further details.

To expand its retail footprint across the country, Gionee has partnered with leading retail players including Spice, The Mobile Store, Mobiliti World, Jumbo Electronics, Croma Retail and Planet M.
     
Gionee said its handsets will now be available across over 1,000 stores and the brand aims to sell over 35,000 additional devices every month and scale it up at a constant pace in the coming future.
     
Currently, Gionee sells through its exclusive brand stores, shop-in-shops and the company’s e-store. It aims to open 250 brand stores in next one year and also increase the service centres to 1,000 by end of 2015.
