According to GSMArena, Gionee president William Lu will take the stage at China Film Directors Center and go into detail on the two smartphones' features.

The Elife E8 is likely to feature 23.7MP primary camera and 6-inch QHD AMOLED display. The device may run 2GHz octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.

Meanwhile, the Marathon M5 may pack a 6,020mAh battery, which Gionee promises will deliver four-day autonomy.

Gionee is one of China’s largest mobile phone manufacturers. Gionee is focusing on slimmer smartphone designs and launched slimmest smartphone in the world -Elife S5.5 - whose body is only 5.5mm thick. Gionee launched an even thinner smartphone Gionee Elife S5.1 with only 5.15mm in thickness.

Gionee recently launched its 'ELife S7' smartphone in the Indian market, priced at Rs 24,999. The phone supports dual SIM, multi-band and multi-mode 4G systems, features 5.2" Super AMOLED screen, 1.7GHz octacore processor, 2GB RAM, 13 MP rear and 8MP front camera, 16GB built-in memory and 2,700mAh battery.
