Reportedly, Elife S7 is to be slimmest phone ever made by the company and it is also being anticipated to become thinnest smartphone in the world. Previously, Gionee had launched the Elife S5.5 with a thickness of 5.5 mm and the Elife S5.1 with 5.1 mm, respectively.

The company aims at expanding its Elife portfolio and has started sending out invites for the event Mobile World Congress which will be held on  March 2.

However, the device's specifications have not been revealed, but the invite reads, “witness the Big Moment.”

Speculations are being made that along with a step ahead in terms of sleekness, the phone may feature a larger display too.

In 2014, Gionee reported that the Elife S5.1 was recognised by Guinness Book of World Records as the slimmest smartphone in the world which was later replaced by Oppo’s R5.

The Elife S5.1featuures a 4.8-inch 720p AMOLED display, which is a level lower arrangement from the 5-inch Full HD display sported by the S5.5. It runs on 1.7GHz octa-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.

The S5.1 runs on Android 4.4 along with a layer of the company’s Amigo 2.0 UI. There is an 8-megapixel camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel camera on the front. The device also gets 16GB storage armed with 2,050mAh battery for long lasting usage.
