The incident occurred when the victim was on her way to give an interview for job. She was allegedly abducted, raped and held hostage for many days in Bhatinda district of Punjab.

Police officials investigating the case said that the victim had told them that she had gone to Chandigarh, about 230 km from Bathinda, on Friday for a job as a nurse in a private hospital. She was standing at Chandigarh bus-stop where a woman got out of a car and inquired about an address.

She further added that as she was about to tell the address, someone pulled her in the car. A man in the car gave her sedative and she fell unconscious. Next day when she woke up, she found herself in a closed room.

Later, two men took turns to rape her and made a video recording. On Sunday they dumped her on the road, she added.

Doctors at the civil hospital here said that her medical examination showed that she was sexually assaulted.

"Though traumatised, the victim is stable," a doctor at the civil hospital said.
Meanwhile, the police have registered an FIR in this regard.
