Greater Noida: After striking a successful agreement with the farmers of Patwari in Noida Extension, the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) is striving hard for making amicable accord with the farmers of other villages too.

Official sources said the Authority is likely hold discussion with farmers of Bisrakh and Yakubpur in this context before Allahabad High Court hearing on September 12.

The farmers of 11 village of Noida Extension and 16 other villages have approached Allahabad High Court to challenge the land acquired by the GNIDA. From September 12 onwards, the Allahabad High Court will conduct daily hearing on the plea of the farmers.

The Court is likely to pronounce its verdict in this regard by mid October. Before that, the Authority wants to make agreement with the farmers.

The Authority has planned to give additional compensation to the farmers. If the authority gives additional compensation to all the farmers, it will to bear an additional cost of Rs 6,000 crore.

The Authority has increased the rate of plot by 16 to 40 percent to avoid any financial crisis.
GNIDA CEO Rama Raman said, “We want to ensure the participation of farmers in the development of the Authority.”
