Greater Noida: After the Allahabad High Court adjourned the hearing in the land acquisition cases of Noida, Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) is using the intervening time to engage those farmers of Patwari village who are yet to accept the agreement of land compensation offered by the Authority.

Rama Raman, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), GNIDA had made an appeal to the farmers in this regard.

Thursday onwards, farmers of the Patwari village can collect their compensation amount from the Authority after signing the agreement.

Out of 1600 farmers in the village, 1200 have already accepted the agreement.

However, the rest 400 farmers are demanding return of their ancestral lands acquired by the authority.

The CEO said that the agreement with the farmers will be valid till September 10.

Earlier, GNIDA submitted the agreement copy signed by 1200 farmers in the Allahabad HC on August 12.
