Rane, however, immediately distanced himself from the post, claiming that someone managing his Facebook account had posted it ‘by mistake.’
"The country needs a young prime minister like Jyotiraditya Scindia who can connect with a young India. Ministers like Shinde etc, should be just dumped," Rane's Facebook page read.
The issue was raised at the press conference held by the Congress party to brief reporters about decisions of the Congress legislative party.
Leader of Opposition Pratapsing Rane refused to comment on the post.
"I have not seen the post. So I can't comment. You ask him (Vishwajit)," he reacted.
Within an hour, former state agriculture minister Vishwajit Rane clarified that it was an error by the person who manages his Facebook page.
"I have not put it. I have asked the manager to withdraw it immediately. I don't subscribe to the views expressed in it," he said.
